Tathagata Singha is a National Award winning Filmmaker. He won the Rajat Kamal for his short film "Ekti Kaktaliyo Galpo" at the 57th National Awards in 2009.

He has passed out of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, specialising in Film Direction. His short films,during this time, have won him both national and international awards.

 

He has been in the Ad Film world for the last 10 years and has worked on some of the biggest brands

Over the last few years, he’s been directing his own commercials for brands like Reliance Jewels, Reliance Smart Bazaar, Skechers, Nandos, Galaxy Chocolates, Kinder, Mother dairy, Tata Motors, LG India, MTR Foods, State Bank of India, Britannia, Big Basket,  and MKCL.

He has recently finished shooting his Debut feature film titled, "Uma" with Kajal Aggarwal in the lead. Currently he is in the process of developing a web series.

For him, constraints are challenging as that gives him the space for greater innovation.
